The Sunlight Cafe was founded in 1976 by a group of women with a passion for good vegetarian and vegan food. The Sunlight Cafe has gone through many eras and iterations while always staying true to our mission of providing fresh and hearty vegetarian food to our community.

Ownership of The Sunlight Cafe has stayed in the family. It is now owned and managed by Cheryl Richards and Adrian Noone. That’s baby Adrian in the photo to left. Now, he makes your food :)

NEW LOCATION

6404 9th Ave NE #100 Seattle, WA 98115 Near the Roosevelt Light Rail Station

With the help of our beloved Sunlight family we moved into our current building in 2018. Our new location offers patio seating, a cozy space upstairs, and yes: those are the same booths!

The Sunlight Cafe remains in the heart of Roosevelt - just one block west of our old place.

In light of Covid-19, we have remained open and are determined to weather this storm with your continued support - thank you! We are here to accommodate your health and safety by processing over the phone payments, providing curbside pickups and accepting Uber Eats and GrubHub orders.

We are following current health department guidelines.

We are open for takeout and indoor and outdoor seating.
